Every year for the last 5 years we have gone to cut down our Christmas tree. We have tried a couple different places but we always seem to find our way back to Pine Valley Ranch in Auburn, CA. It is run by a lovely couple who have a large property with a pond, bring your fishing pole it is stocked with Rainbow Trout, with several types of trees to choose from. Their beautiful Australian Shepards greet you as you come in and there is a small snack shack with hot beverages to warm you up and the most delicious homemade fudge. We always looks forward to coming here every year for our tree and taking our time wandering across the property or sitting by the fire and just enjoying the peaceful view. When you find a tree you like yell “SAW” and someone will run out to you so you can bring the tree down. Here is a list of Xmas tree farms in Placer County. Come early because it does get crowded and the good one’s go quick. There is also a small assortment of pre-cut trees if cutting them down yourself isn’t really your thing.
